Ed White Law is looking for a Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our team!

We are a thriving Civil and Intellectual Property Firm located in Edmond, Oklahoma. We are looking for someone who is not only organized and professional, but someone who can also multi-task and provide exceptional customer service to clients.

As our part-time legal assistant, you will greet and direct clients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, docket court dates, and manage the firm's calendar. You will also be responsible for keeping our office running smoothly by handling various legal and administrative tasks.

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a law firm or the equivalent in legal training and someone who is eager to learn and grow with our team. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents for various cases.

  • Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date case files.

  • Communicate with clients and schedule appointments.

  • Draft correspondence and assist in negotiations.

  • Assist with case filings and hearings, providing administrative support.


Valuable Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of legal procedures, protocols, and court systems.

  • Excel skills with the ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word and Outlook.

  • Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information.

  • Knowledge of case management software.

  • Ability to communicate well and build rapport quickly with clients, clerks, and other legal teams.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Previous legal experience and/or training.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Professional, personable, and reliable.

  • Experienced with administrative duties and managing calendars.
